Blake & Riley has opened a pop-up shop at Park Royal just in time to show off their summer collection! We spoke with brand founder, Hye-Sun Baek, to learn why Blake & Riley is the perfect fit for Park Royal.

Where did the idea for Blake & Riley come from? I’m from Seoul and my husband (and business partner) is from Vancouver. Our dream is to connect my hometown with his, as both are such amazing cities with such interesting style. At the same time, we also want to connect Vancouver to the speed of style found in the world’s fashion capitals.
What sets you apart from other retail stores? We do a lot of research to constantly keep our collections updated and make sure our pieces are one-of-a-kind. If you’re looking for something special that you won’t find anywhere else, come see us!
Who is the Blake & Riley customer? We love modern moms! A lot of our customers are discerning moms with a strong sense of personal style that extends to their kids. But we get lots of grandparents, dads, people looking for the perfect gift, and young women looking for a special new addition to their wardrobe as well!
What drew you to Park Royal? Park Royal has some of the world’s leading brands in fashion and accessories, so as a Vancouver brand that’s starting to grow, this is the perfect place to open our second shop! Kerrisdale and West Vancouver are also a great match for each other.
What have been some of the influences for the look, feel & curation of the clothing/accessories in your store? We try to infuse our collections with our philosophy on a life well-lived. That means seeing new places, trying new things and spending our quality time with the people we love the most. We like to think that you can feel that sense of adventure and care for family when you shop Blake & Riley.
Best thing about Vancouver? Vancouver is where East meets West in one of the most beautiful settings in the world. We’re proud to represent that cultural crossroads in our brand and in our family.
